Snapchat Develops New Tool to Create Filters to Change Appearances

Snapchat is launching a brand new tool for builders that may allow them to create filters so you can change your hair coloration and try on curated makeup in augmented reality.

Creators will discover a variety of modern templates and features on Snapchat’s desktop app Lens Studio. Utilizing the free app, creators can construct everything from 2-D images to interactive environments.

The social networking app that is popular amongst teenagers and young adults will include a brand new template that ables you to add customized particles behind a consumer’s head, a Countdown options that let you create 3-D hat filters that mark particular dates, and a Hair Color tool that allows you make contemporary type choices “from root to tip,” based on the press release.

There’s also a Makeup template that can let you create Lenses with built-in AR lipgloss and eyeshadow along with different cosmetics.

As a part of the rollout, Snap includes new “Landmarks,” that are specific lenses that alter among the world’s most famous locations. They remodel places like the Eiffel Tower and the Flatiron Building in New York City into whimsical animated characters.

Fourteen new Landmarks are to be out there Tuesday for creators to experiment with, and Snapchat users visiting the next destinations will be able to experience them immediately.

Snapchat says it’s making the developer app more user-friendly, including a new interactive tour that leads users through every step to make a Lens. So far, over 500,000 Lenses have been created by its fuller group of developers, and the filters have been “played with” over 15 billion times.
